Good Sunday Evening!

It has been a while since we made a Sunday update, but that does not mean we haven't been busy!

## Honda Quest

Jaco one of the finalists on the 2020 Honda Quest which is currently underway in the Northern Cape. Things are proving eventful with some broken bones, crashes, and damaged bikes all in the first couple of days. Jaco is doing a great job documenting his activities and you can follow his progress on Telegram and our social media.

## MotoCheapie

This is the 4-hour relay endurance race where the bike and all modifications need to cost less than R5 000. Jaco and I have roped in our colleague Peter for the event. A couple of weeks back we managed find a Blue Suzuki 100R MAX for sale in our area. Despite it actually being green, and the fact that it wasn't running, we took a gamble and bought it. A few workshop sessions later and she is coming along nicely. Loads of "unnecessary" parts removed, a knobbly rear tyre, a new carburetor and cone air filter have been fitted. A few things left to do and then she will be ready for a big reveal. There are approximately 20 teams of 2-4 riders entered so the event is shaping up nicely; if you are in the Durbanville are on 28 November come and give us some support.

## Adventure riding

I have been busy with preparations for my first solo adventure trip this December. The route is all mapped out and the five legs will take me from Cape Town - Sabie - Durban - Baviaanskloof - Port Elizabeth - Cape Town. Just over 5 000km with an almost perfect 50/50 dirt to tar split. Bike preparations and other logistics are also in motion and I will be sure to document these in part two of my "idiots guide to planning a solo adventure". In the meantime, I'll punt some of our old material.
